Boarding

A deposit will be required to hold your space and is non-refundable.  The Boarding fee is $27 per day, per dog regardless of size or any special needs your dog may have. This fee applies the day of drop off through and including the day of pick up.  Payment is due upon pick up by cash or check only.

Because we are a small kennel based on quality not volume we ask that you be sure of your dates before scheduling boarding time.  You are responsible for the time you book.

Housing

Every dog has its own indoor/outdoor run. From 7 am – 7 pm, your dog can go in and out of its run as it chooses when it is not playing or running in the play areas on the kennel grounds.

The kennel is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Each kennel has a raised cot sized to fit your dog. Blankets are also provided, but we prefer you bring the bed/blanket that your dog sleeps on at home so the kennel seems a little more familiar and comfortable for him. Lights remain on for dogs during the day and classical music is played day and night.

Double runs are available for multiple dog households, but single dogs are always placed in their own run. Run location is based on each dog’s individual needs. For example, an older or aggressive dog is placed in a kennel run where other dogs will not be passing it frequently.

Playtime

Every dog gets to play and run several times a day at no extra cost no matter what the weather conditions are. We have an inside play area for the cold and rainy days. There is always supervision when dogs are inside or outside, whether they are playing by themselves or with other dogs.

The personality and size of a dog is always taken into consideration when it is paired up with other dogs to play. If your dog is aggressive towards other dogs, he or she will receive one-on-one playtime with a staff member. Whatever the case, your dog will always be safe during playtime.

Dietary needs:

Please bring the food/vitamins/medicine that your dog will need during its stay at Cappa’s Kennel in the original containers or a plastic covered container.  Please DO NOT use individual plastic bags.  Please Label containers with the dog’s name and amount/frequency it should be given. It’s preferred that you do bring your dog’s own food to avoid stomach upset and again, to keep things as familiar as possible for your dog.

We will supply food and water bowls.

Other requirements:

We ask that you only have a flat collar on your dog.  Your leash will be given back to you upon arrival.  Please remember to bring a leash when you return to pick up your dog.

Drop-off and pick-up times are arranged by appointment only. You can arrange a time between 8am and 12pm or 4pm and 6pm Monday through Saturday, or 12pm to 6pm on Sunday and holidays.  We are closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July.  All other holidays we are open 12pm to 6pm.
