Welcome to the Cappa's Kennel web site. My experience includes behavior modification and obedience training with owners and their dogs for over 20 years and I have earned certification from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers as a Certified Pet Dog Trainer. I have also operated private as well as commercial boarding kennels. I've enjoyed working with owners and their dogs on behavior modification and all levels of obedience training. APDT is the largest association of dog trainers in the world. To be certified by APDT trainers must pass a written examination testing their knowledge of animal behavior science, learning theory, instruction skills, and animal husbandry. CPDTs must take continuing education seminars and workshops to maintain their certification. The nationally-recognized certification process confirms that the dog trainer has the necessary skills and experience of the profession. It also provides the dog-owning public with a good measuring stick by which to choose a trainer.
Dog trainer, Gail Cappadona of Cappa's Kennel, has earned the title Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) through its certification council and has also received a letter of congratulations from the Chair of the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers.
