Meet the Girls Caring for your Four Legged Friends!
Gail has acquired a spectacular, trustworthy team here at Cappa’s. She prefers to keep her staff as small as possible, so that everyone can remain on the same page and the dogs get to see the same familiar faces each day. Every staff member came to Cappa’s with several years of dog experience already, yet learn more and more every day by working closely with the dogs in our care. These girls have become much more than employees here at Cappa’s – they are practically family.
Brittany joined the Cappa’s family in the summer of 2012 during her last year in the University of New Hampshire’s Animal Science Program. She graduated in the top 5 of her major in May 2013 with a degree in Small Animal Care as well as her Grooming Diploma. Though Brittany prefers to spend the majority of her time here at the kennel caring for and grooming dogs. She also enjoys hanging with her own dogs, especially her best friend Cappa’s Havok. Together they hike, swim, fish, play ball or train for the sport of IPO.
Shelly came to us as a young, aspiring, hardworking high schooler, who wanted nothing more than to work with and help dogs. In her few years here at Cappa’s, she has grown into a skilled caretaker and weekend manager. She will be graduating in 2017 and plans to pursue a career as a veterinarian. During the summer of 2016, Shelly was one of only forty students throughout the country chosen to attend Tufts University’s elite summer veterinary program. Shelly spends a few days each week interning at a local vet and cannot wait to become one herself. Though she loves being here at the kennel, when she is not, you can find her walking the beach or hiking the trails with her best friend, Cappa’s Heddy.
Taylor has years of experience with dogs, including dog training for several years working primarily with aggressive, difficult to train dogs. She was the student advisor of the class of 2014 Vet Tech program at NSCC and worked as a vet tech/assistant before pursuing a career in dog training. She also had experience managing a boarding/training kennel prior to joining us at Cappa’s. Taylor enjoys the company of her Labrador, Brady and her English Setter, Eli.
Lexi’s love for dogs shows in every aspect of her work. She came to Cappa’s ready to learn and thoroughly enjoys spending time with the dogs in our care. When not at the kennel, she also loves to be with her cuddly little pup, Cooper.
